Each country has their own and unique way of celebrating the Easter. Some would stay indoors with family and friends, some will plan an out of town or out of the country trip, others will stay in some beach resorts while having a relaxing view. Well, Australians also have their own unique and exciting way of celebrating the Easter with family or friends. It might be simple, but it gives joy to every member of the family.
Let’s start with a simple activity that most Aussies observe. It’s an annual family lunch or dinner. Most Australian families spend time to visit their parents or relatives who are living in other cities and spend a couple of time with them. Well, families will prepare some delightful meal for the visitors and guests. For the married couple, they usually take turns in visiting each other’s parents and relatives. In this way, both of them has the equal opportunity to spend time with their own kin. Simple foods are made special as each member in the family help each other to prepare the foods which they will enjoy in the dining table. The day wouldn’t be complete without sharing stories with each other over a glass of drink.
Of course, Easter is also for kids and to make children happy. Chocolates and games are just a few to give smile on their faces. Most of the time, parents will hide Easter eggs around the house and children wakes up early during the Easter morning to look for the hidden eggs. It’s such a joy to see children running around and searching each and every corner of the house to find the eggs and receive their rewards. Once all the eggs have been collected, chocolates in the shape of an egg will be given as a reward for the kids. And to complete the day, a simple meal for the family will be prepared and served.
